LNU Wins 19 Awards in the 8th College Students’ Arts Festival of Sichuan Province

From August 20th to 26th, the 8th College Students’ Arts Festival of Sichuan Province was held in Sichuan University of Science & Engineering. Deng Xuefeng, vice-president of Leshan Normal University(LNU), Li Jiao, subdecanal of School of Music and related advising teachers went with 109 students to participate the competition.

This contest was in a large scale and with many art works and performances. Students from 67 universities of Sichuan province showed their 201 works at the performance.

LNU gave 19 entries for the contest, and finally it won seven First Prizes, nine Second Prizes and three Third Prizes. In addition, LNU was awarded as the “Excellent Organization” by the committee.

Before the competition, leaders of LNU had paid high attention to the Art Festival. They held meetings for many times to help students improve their works.
