Experts of NISS Visit LNU

    On November 10th, the Center for Trans-Himalaya Tourism and Culture Studies(CTTCS) of LNU invited Vivek Kumar Shah, President of Nepal Institution for Strategic Studies( NISS ), and Prem Singh Basnyat, Professor of Kathmandu University and the Director of National Museum, to exchange ideas about further cooperation at LNU.

On November 11th, Seminar on Cooperation and Exchange & MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) Signing Ceremony both NISS and LNU was held on campus. President Hu appeared at the meeting and delivered a theme speech.

Hu Dan, the president of LNU, emphasized the necessity & significance of cooperation of international education and scientific research between LNU and NISS under the initiative of One Belt and One Road. He hoped that, by promoting the cooperation with NISS, LNU could have extensive exchange & in-depth cooperation with Nepali colleges & scientific research institution, which would improve LNUs level of teaching and scientific research.

Mr. Shah and Mr. Basnyat responded, Under the background of 'One Belt and One Road', there is a promising cooperation prospect between China and Nepal. Therefore, LNU has the good conditions to cooperate in the educational field, industrial field and research of cooperative strategy and so on. According to the bilateral resources, LNU and NISS can quickly obtain abundant benefits from bilateral cooperation. In addition, they came up with the assumption and advice in terms of mutual cooperations steps and concrete measures in the future.

After the seminar, LNU and NISS achieved the consensus of bilateral cooperation. Hu Dan and Mr.Shah signed the MOU between LNU and NISS. Furthermore, they had an in-depth negotiation on specific projects and cooperative model of memorandum frameworks cooperation intention.

On November 12th, Mr. Shah and Mr. Basnyat delivered Highlight Reporters on the International Relationship and Regional Security Issue in Trans-Himalaya Area in 3D studio of LNU, thoroughly answering the questions given by LNUs teachers and students, encouraging everybody to go to Nepal studying and traveling.
