A Letter from An Exceptional Child’s Parents

On October 19, Education and Rehabilitation Center for Exceptional Children in our school receives a letter from an exceptional child’s parents expressing gratitude to the four teachers in the rehabilitation center. Extend their appreciations to the help for the child Qiqi and the encouragements taking to the parents. Autistic Qiqi has changed a lot by the training in the center and now she is about to enter the ordinary school learning together with normal children. Seeing such a sincere letter, these four young teachers are deeply touched. “We are special educators and we have the duty to teach our students trying our best. Students’ progresses and parents' supports are our biggest motivation.” The instructor Zhang Nan also affirms the positive effects given by the supports of children and parents and she hope these children will grow better and better under the joint efforts of both teachers and parents.

Education and Rehabilitation Center for Exceptional Children in our university was established by our School of Special Education in September 2014. It is not only a pure public nature of professional training rehabilitation and integrated social services platform, but also the base of ability improvement training. Center now has five groups including speech-language, movement training, art therapy, autism, and individualized training. Since its establishment, hundreds of special children and their families in Leshan are helped in different degrees. Children in center accept professional rehabilitation, making progress with companions and feel the love and care of society. We can easily see “Teacher who specializing in special education is not particular but just good at teaching --do their best to change impossible into possible."

Here, we represent Education and Rehabilitation Center for Exceptional Children to express our gratitude to every parent and child who trusts us. We every member in the center will continue to work hard and to give every child the best support.
