On the afternoon of June 23rd, the Federation of Social Sciences holds a symposium to study Xi Jinping's speech at the Forum on work about philosophy and social science . Besides, combined with the current situation facing, he put forward the specific requirements.

Yang Shengkuan points out that on the one hand the "speech" explain the status, role and value of philosophy, enhancing the confidence of the workers of philosophy and social sciences; on the other hand, it puts forward higher requirements for social science workers, giving them a new historical mission and responsibility. He stresses that as the university social science workers, we should not only pay attention to researching work, but also pay attention to educating people, serve the local economic and cultural construction, as well as to lead the development of cultural construction, and strengthen cooperation with local.
