LNU won in technological progress prize
On May 30th, Sichuan provincial government releases that Leshan Normal University (LNU) wins second prize in technological progress for the project of Research and Demonstration on Key Technologies of Bamboo Resources Protection in Sichuan, which is completed by LNU and other 7 institutions together. Professor Yang Yaojun, Director of Sichuan Key Laboratory, is the principle investigator of the project.
This project, for the first time, invents the technology of bamboo shoot - preserving technology with microbial pesticide, defines the areas with trees and bamboos that form presidential villages in western Sichuan, and brings to an increase of 2.6 million visitors per year and a cumulative net income of 1.298 billion yuan. At the same time, it gains two patents for invention, publishes 21 academic papers and 2 academic monographs, and cultivates 237 talents.
